The Chic Street Experience
Nothing compares to a truly heavenly experience that combines both professionalism and class. That is and it is what Chic Street Studio provided when 4 Fashion Bloggers walked in to get makeovers for the FBA ZIM Concept Shoot. As a brand that strives on quality clothing and service, as well as facilitating the Black Opal Face of Zimbabwe (BOFOZ); Chic Street is a store that carries the classic but modern J. Suzanne brand which caters for all women in their different shapes and sizes! The studio uses Black Opal as their core make up brand; which is also stocked in Edgars and various pharmaceuticals nationwide. Black Opal is recognised as a purely ethnic brand catering for the African skin tone and its different skin variations. From oily to dry or if you have acne pigmentations, Black Opal has something for you. The essence of make-up that is often mistaken is that it is meant to enhance your features and not super impose or hide them; now with the service that Chic Street Studio offers they are sure to bring out the best of your facial features.
4 make up looks were created for the FBA ZIM Concept Shoot, different to each individual. The Natural look or Naturalist is what I went for, with make-up that was streamlined with my skin tone (almost unnoticeable, but glam). Sharron Mungazi of Deffinatly Shaz chose the sultry Cat Eye that depicted a street-chic-edge to her style. Alexandra Mebe of Persusiaon Inc ZW chose a more dramatic but Funky look to her make-up and Tatenda Chaibva opted to be The Wild Card with a look aligned to her contemporary afro-centric taste. I think all the bloggers can agree that we were very impressed with the articulation and outcome of our different looks, the only thing missing was us in Chic Street clothing and the J. Suzanne brand ready for our photoshoot! You can tell from the pictures that nothing was short of fabulous with selfies all round and BTS pics covered by Concrete Jungle Fashion.
After reading this post, I hope you will make your immediate booking for a Chic Street Chic-Over, either at Travel Plaza (corner Mazoe Street and Chinamano) or the Newlands Shopping Complex (Old Enterprise Road).
Make-up artists pictured are Luscah, Tari, Maidei and Zanile.
