Celebrating Zimbabwean Women With Style
I am pretty sure you had or had not noticed but I had taken a break from blogging; not that this was actually planned or anything, but it just happened. A lot was going on at the time from when I last blogged on June 20th. My birthday was on the 2nd of July; and in that same month I announced a new project via all my social media platforms. The Signature Toscie Style Sessions; as soon as that happened I dedicated my time and energy to focus on this new project. This new venture is exciting for me and the blog because the Style Sessions are both an extension plus a new platform for young ladies, women and women in business to come together to embrace, network and mix n’ mingle in the company of other gorgeous savvy women. It is further exciting to note that the inaugural Style Sessions were super lovely and even more so appropriate as they were themed around August Women’s Month with the theme “Celebrating Zimbabwean Women with Style”. The line-up of the guest speakers was truly spectacular, with Pokello Nare – Kumordzie Founder and Creative Director of Addicted 2 Shoes Boutique and Pokello Pink Bottoms Shoe Collection. Lillian Madyara, the rising Fashion Blogger and Personality of Hollywood Lee and Mbo Mahocs (Mbonisi Mahonondo), TV Personality and Style Influencer from the City of Kings and Queens. It is unfortunate however to say that Mbo Mahocs could not make it on the day, but our two speakers had a whole lot of style, fashion and a good story to share. Our date was set for Saturday, 20 August 2016 with our venue being Moto Republik; Harare’s first Creative Hub for young entrepreneurs, artisans, new media digital enthusiasts, bloggers and small to medium creative enterprises.
The ambiance was amazing; having a room full of women who looked absolutely stunning (rocking heels of course)! I was in awe with the turnout and more so with the speakers’ speeches. The best part was undeniably the food. I know I am pinpointing a lot of good from that day, but trust me a lot more mayhem happened behind the scenes like how I did not have time to get my make-up done or that I did not style my hair; and did I mention I only wore my heels in the final photos *hides*. But the point is, the Style Sessions embody the full essence of Fashion, Style and owning your Fabulosity brought to you by Signature Toscie, with the mandate to Inspire, Motivate and Empower. They will be on a quarterly basis with a different theme to each.
Thank you to Moto Republik for the venue, Chef Rumbie of Veloute for the food, Optimass Art ZW for the photography, Tendai Karonga who was our MC and the guest speakers Pokello Nare – Kumordzie and Lillian Madyara.
The next Signature Toscie Style Sessions will be in November, so be on the lookout on all the ST social media for announcement of date, venue and theme!
Stay Gorgeous and Glamourous!
